So I wrote a poem just as the first lockdown started easing in the UK. As you can imagine having a baby during a pandemic wasn’t very enjoyable, Nova knew no different, but I did and so did so many other parents. It was extremely isolating. I had obviously imagined something so different during my pregnancy and the outcome was the complete opposite. Luckily we managed to do a few baby classes and a few normal things before my maternity leave ended but it definitely is not what I had dreamed of.
